My wife and I have listened faithfully to Kirby Wilbur for a long time. His comments have been so well informed. His information of local and national concerns plus his knowledge of history is not provided elsewhere on the air and is greatly missed. His successor is OK but certainly does not lead to the diverse and informed awareness provided by Kirby. We feel the station has made a very bad mistake in removing him.

I tuned out KVI as soon as I heard. I was deployed and returned to find out via Email from Kirby. There are a few others out there on our side here in the northwest but I would still rather have Kirby.
One other thing since I am here. Why do we here in the Pacific Northwest complain so much about how liberal this place is and not tell our conservative friends how wonderful the location is? Maybe if some of them MOVED in we would have the home we love and the friends we love and all would be right with the world.
Just a thought.

Absolutely,

My letter to KVI:
Dear KVI,

I have been a regular listener to your station for many years. I was disappointed to lose John Carlson's afternoon drive show to The Commentators and then to see that go to your sister station.....but I am upset to lose Kirby as well.

Kirby spoke to the hearts of us military personnel and those with a sense of what's right in America. Taking his voice off the air not only weakened the support for us local conservatives, but also put many of us out of the loop locally and regionally as regards politics and public issues in general.

I have not yet tuned out KVI from my radio, but plan to do so very soon if Kirby isn't reinstated as soon as possible.

You have had a loyal listener audience as well as sponsors, please don't risk losing them over this error in judgment.

Sincerely,

Jim Pierce

Kirby we do have a problem with the Obama-Nation! It seem like every time he promised this we got that. The man does the opposite of what he has said, except for the fact he is proudly going to “necessarily raise our got of energy”. I got one for them, we make Flex-cars mandatory (Retro-kits are not very expensive) and we can all drive our cars,SUVs and Pickups on Alcohol fuel made from the wood chips, corn stalks and wheat or straw. Also, then our own local refineries can concentrate the week making Jet fuel (Hi-grade Kerosene) and Diesel fuel (ultra low-sulfur) and Heating oils (hi-sulfur) P.S. Regular gasoline has double the sulfur content as Hi-sulfur diesel fuel before the Feds forced the reduction the summer of 1997. Didn't hear any peep from President Obama (damn that hurts to say!) on the Sulfur or acid rain or Amazon forest (which is in south America) issues… I sure miss you on KVI dude!

GOSH Kirby, My mornings as a School Bus Driver was doing my share to "Educate" my kids I haul,(ages 3-21yrs) is having conservative talk radio on and having a discussion with them. Well at least the ones that don't keep saying, "Nana, what's that?, I have to go potty"). Anyway, my mornings aren't the same. Laura is more argumentive and you are informational and open discussion. I miss you TERRIBLY! I was never smart in school I think I was A.D.D all of them but not Behavioral for sure! Not with our up bringing and school rights then. But at 62 I learned more listening to you Kirby then in 12 years of schooling! THANKS!

Hi Kirby. I first started listening to you when you were the night guy on KVI. You were a breath of fresh air. I continued to listen over the years, and was shocked to hear Laura Ingram instead of you in the morning.
I wish you the best. Thank you for all you do. I hope we have not heard the last from Kirby Wilbur.
