Late Thursday thoughts…

The Gallup poll shows 64% of Americans oppose closing Gitmo and moving some of the prisoners there to American soil. That’s nearly two-thirds. Only 50% of Ds, 28% of independents and 8% of Rs support the move.  Health care, cap and trade and the economy will NOT be the only issues in 2010. National security will have a prominent place in the minds of the voters and again, the President appears to be in a different universe on this issue.  Keep digging that hole…

Also, please note these comments from Andrew Kohut, President, Pew Research Center from earlier today. He writes,     ” What’s really exceptional at this stage of Obama’s presidency is the extent to which the public has moved in a conservative direction on a range of issues. These trends have emanated as much from the middle of the electorate as from the highly energized conservative right. Even more notable, however, is the extent to which liberals appear to be dozing as the country has shifted on both economic and social issues.”( emphasis mine). He goes on to specifically mention the issues of gun control ( ” declining support for gun control”), abortion ( ” a fall in support for abortion rights”), global warming ( ” a rise in public doubts about global warming”), health care ( ” strong opposition to health care reform has topped strong support in every survey” ). Keep digging that hole.

I must say that I’m really looking forward to the 2010 election season — assuming that Republicans have finally gotten the message and run Conservative candidates. Having an “R” next to your name is not enough any more. Remember folks, Didi Scazzafava (sp?) in NY-23 had an “R” next to her name and she was ideologically left of the liberal Democrat running. The fact that the Conservative candidate came so close to winning should have been a big red flag to the Republican Party. I hope they saw it.

Find the local Conservative candidate running in your district and jump on board to help them win in 2010. It’s tough to run against an incumbent, and the Conservatives can use all the help we can give them.

The future of this country as a Representative Republic is at stake folks. We can’t afford to sit back and let someone else do it. It’s up to us.

It looks like Gitmo as a Prison is going to be history like Alcatraz. think positive people! Alcatraz is one of the best tourist destinations in California drawing millions of visitors and dollars a year. Just imagine what an incredible tourist trap we could have in sunny Cuba we can turn Gitmo into a real gold mine! Gitmo was an embarassment and it is time for the torture is us spot to become something better.

The Demos dozing? I think not.

They are confident that they can “create” as many votes (whether real or not) as they need to win any election. These people stay up nights comunning with Satan. They know ALL of the tricks in winning an election—-that is why they are not worried. They are going after every illegal alien vote they can get their hands on—whether by using lies or twisting the issues enough —-anything to get the “Mexican block” to vote Demo. Then there is their all-time favorite trick of using fake “absentee” ballots (those who supposedly moved out of a precinct). Forget the so-called Republican leaders—they are no better than the Democrats. We need a new party called the “Constitution Party”. Nowadays if you stand for what is “right” or “best for our country”, you are in the minority!

Hey, we middle-Americans used to be in the majority, but now that we have a country of illiterate, know-nothings (exceot giw to have sex at age 10), they don’t even know what the issues are, let alone have an intelligent ability to cast accurate, well-informed votes!

Maybe so about Gitmo! But where do you suggest the next Terrorist Prison be? You’re home state? I say open up Alcatraz! The sharks will take care of them if they jump in there…To the old marine sorry you see how dumb you’re congressmen can be after you put your life on hold to serve this country..I thank you!! Linda, it amazes me why, with all the illegal stuff they pull both local and national that there isn’t a movement to REMOVE these people from office! We just go on as usual! Why doesn’t the true standard of law take action??? I kind of think of the “conservatives” as the “jews” just meekly following the ruthless leadership to slaughter!!! it is so FRUSTRATING!!!
