Well, tomorrow begins 2010, which promises to be a better year for America than 2009, for a lot of reasons. I want to thank everyone who reads this blog and has commented and I promise to get better about posting and responding.
Please add Rush to your prayer list, because, as you may know, he was vacationing in Hawaii and was hospitalized yesterday with chest pains. Rush has done so much for all of us, and he is genuinely a very nice guy who has a very big and kind heart. The left has been spewing hatred for him for a long time ( if he wasn’t effective, they would ignore him ), and now some leftist blog posters are wishing him ill, even death. Let’s pray for a full recovery and many more years of being on the radio.
According to the FBI, the 2009 murder rate is down 10% from 2008, and yet there were record gun sales in 2009, with some estimates that they were up to 25% higher, based on NCIS checks. I thought more guns equaled more deaths? That’s what the left mindlessly chants. I am so confused…
The Feds announced a further bailout of $3.8 billion for GMAC. That’s more of your money supporting a company ‘ too big to fail ‘, a company that should have been allowed to fail, a company totally dependent on government bailouts, not market forces. Failure is the discipline that the market imposes on poorly-run companies, or companies which are no longer needed. But, don’t worry, the bailout is only $12 per American citizen, just the price of one pizza.
According to an AP-GIK poll, nearly 75% of you thought 2009 was a bad year, 42% called it very bad.
Thirteen Republican attorneys-general are threatening to sue the Feds over the Obamacare bill, items such as the special deals and payoffs certain states got, and others didn’t, and things like the individual mandate. Didn’t see a list of names, hope Rob McKenna’s name is on that list.
Some political notes, signs of things to come in 2010: In North Dakota, Democratic Congressman Earl Pomeroy is down 42% to 50% for ‘ other ‘. That’s right, other. A great opportunity if teh Republicans could find a candidate with that name. Filing deadline for running for Congress in Texas is Monday. Eleven of 20 GOP incumbents have no Democrats filed against them, not even tokens. All 12 Democrats have at least one, in some cases several GOP opponents filed.
Don’t know if you have heard, but apparently, two of the plotters of the Flight 253 attack were released from Gitmo in November 2007, and sent to Saudi Arabia, where they were enrolled in an ‘ art therapy rehabilitation program ‘, where they were, among other things, given paints and crayons to help them return to a meaningful life. What planet am I living on again??
We have alrady sunk over $100 billion of your money into Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and now the Obama administration, on Christmas Eve, announced that a $400 billion cap on the amount we would use to bail them out has been lifted, giving them unlimited access to the US treasury, i.e. your money. These two institutions are to blame in a significant way for the mortgage collapse and subsequent economic chaos. They owned or were responsible for over half of the nation’s sub prime and low-grade mortgages, and now they have unlimited access to your money. Oh, btw, Fannie and Freddie also announced $42 million in bonuses for the 12 ( that’s 12, one more than 11, one less than 13 ) top executives on Christmas eve. WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?
Please, everybody have a happy and joyous new year, be safe and cautious tonight, no over-celebrating, and lets resolve to make 2010 a better year and the year we turn America around. May God bless all of you, Rush, the folks at Union Gospel Mission and the United States of America.
I think it is apparent that by spending trillions of dollars we don’t have, Obama will cause first, inflation, then a financial crash—-it appears he is doing this on purpose.
If he can cause the American economy to go bankrupt, he can call in the World Bank to reorganize our money system, and cause us to agree to go on to a one-world currency program.
Unless Americans elect conservatives from both sides, the globalists and the banks are going to get their way. What we need now is a “Constitutional Party”, that would include both Democrats and Republicans and Libertians.
Let’s see, that would leave the Communists, Socialists and Marxists and the bankers to divide up the Democrats and Republicans any way they wished. WE ARE THE MAJORITY, WE NEED TO FORM A NEW PARTY!!
Yes, Rob McKenna is on the list of AG’s who may sue. Thank Heavens for the few AG’s who have sense.
The religious few on the left may say “Pray for Peace”; I say Pray for continued and persistent personal Freedom in the coming decade.
Happy New Year all.
Kirby, thank you for being such a special part of all years past and in this New Year. Thanks for keeping us informed and for the character of goodness you share. BLessings to you and your family in this New Year.
Good job on this blog. God bless you and your family. My wife and I sure miss you on the radio in the AM. You were a good fill in for Sean last week, Could you fill in for Rush sometime?
10% reduction in murder. 25% increase in gun sales. How can that be? I wonder how the left will spin that. Ammo is almost impossible to find.
God Bless you, Kirby, as well as Rush and the other Warriors of our Conservative beliefs!
I first saw the story about the 13 attorneys-general on the Yahoo home page. Here’s a link:

Hi Kirby, Belated Merry Christmas,a and wishing you and your family a happy New Year. A couple of things I would like to find answers to. In the constituion there is something called the equal protection clause. How can a bill such as the Health care bill or any other bill that gives special breaks or special advantages to one state over another or to one special interest over another, not be in violation of the equal protection clause?
My second question is what are all the czars in the current administration receiving in pay and benifits? Since they are not approved by the senate, like cabinet members are supposed to be, where is the authorization for their pay and benifits coming from?
What kind of pay and benifits do the execs of special interests like ACORN get paid with our tax dollars?
Are these groups exempt from the rules, taxes and regulations in the health bill and other taxing laws the democrats are passing?
Washington was listed as one of the states whose AG have threatened legal action over the Nebraska extortion.
Thank you Kirby for the insight, but who is running here in Washington against these deadbeat demo’s, like Patty Murray, who is up this time, plus all the congress turncoats????
From what I understand, Rob McKenna is one of the 13 AG’s.
Let’s call 2010 our “Happy NOW Year”. Now let’s get our beloved America back on course.
Thanks for all you do Kirby, and for all you have done and will continue to do.
Rob McKenna is, indeed, on the list of Attorneys General who are suing the government over aspects of the health care legislation. I suspect the matter is moot, until the bill actually becomes law, however.
Speaking of Att. Gen. McKenna, he gave the evening speech at Mainstream Republicans of Washington’s Cascade Conference last May in Richland. It was a detailed analysis of the actions, decisions, and policies that led to the mortgage/investment banking melt down. It’s worth you attention and can be found on the Mainstream Republicans of Washington website blog. Go to http://www.washingtonmainstream.org/Blog.php and you’ll find the link to TVW’s tape of his remarks.
I am concerned Obama will use Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for funding his redistribution of wealth the poor. They do not have to go back to congress to pump funding into these organizations. Stress tests were performed on both and the result showed the liability for each was still below the 200 Billion. I believe Obama and team will use these organizations to bankrupt this country. The top executives have all got contracts for cash, no stock options, which is out of step with past practice. Do they believe the future value of Fannie and Freddie will be Zero?
Although I mess up at times, I try to say precisely what I think. Take this for example:
I hope that there was no people with Bulgarian umbrellas near Rush.
Because I wasn’t there, I don’t know one way or the other and can only suspect that there were none, even taking into account the motive, opportunity, and means. There is still one last requirement (in my mind) and that is the will to actually do something. I can only hope that there is insufficient will in those that practice the Chicago way of winning.
One last thing. Notice that I didn’t accuse or eliminate anyone of anything.
Kirby I have moved onto Ohio and did not know of your dismissal from KVI. I am appalled that they let you go. I listened to you everyday on my 40 mile drive to Gig Harbor from Kingston and have learned alot from you over the years. You are pleasant to listen to and full of information. I look forward to reading your website daily from Ohio to keep informed. May you have a wonderful 2010 and I am really looking forward to 2012. Sincerely Cindy Drake
Happy New Year!!! I pray you will be able to continue affecting people who hear your wisdom. You are a true Conservative light. I too miss you on KVI. I also pray you will be on the air again.
Hey Kirby – Just wanted you to know that I am still keeping up with your posts. I saw there were no comments on the last couple, so here’s mine: Right on Kirby! And I hope you and your family also have a blessed New Year!
