Air America ceased airing new programs Thursday afternoon and said it will soon file to be liquidated under Chapter 7 bankruptcy. It began broadcasting reruns of programs and would end those as well Monday night.

The horror………the horror!!!

Are we finally getting through to the “fence sitters”? There would be very few Democrats elected if the general news media would simply and truthfully state the facts.

I am telling you Kirb, FDR is rolling in his grave at what is going on with these birdbrain stinking left wing wacko’s. Gitmo was the very best answer for these terrorists, in spite of such “great powers” like the French and Germans and other idiots afraid of their own shadows Our friends and allies. Kirby, I agree with all of your points above!!

We conservative/Constitutionalists need to come up with our own platform, forget the Demoncraps, and the Republicraps—-we need to take our country back!!

Here are some suggestions for our platform:

1. Enforce freedom of Speech, Freedom of Association and Freedom of Religion—-no laws or policies can be passed against the above.

2. Enforce laws protecting private property owners—-no taking of private property to build commercial buildings by cities or counties.

3. Make the Federal Reserve and the activities of the U.S. Treasury transparant–no influence from Goldman Sacks, Citi Bank, Lehman, or any investment houses. Keep the commercial banks and the investment houses separate, and regulate Hedge Funds so they cannot drive up the price of oil or any commodities.

4. No more voting fraud: Stop government funding of ACORN. Prosecute the leaders in ACORN who stole money. Do not allow any citizen to vote two weeks before an election when they are signed up to vote. They have to vote on the same day as EVERYBODY ELSE.

5. Repeal the law Senator Lyndon Johnson got enacted in 1954 to stifle Freedom of Speech in the churches. (that was the one that said you couldn’t discuss or promote political ideas in church). It has only been enforced in conservative churches, not liberal ones. FREEDOM OF SPEECH APPLIES EVERYWHERE.

6. Criminals guaranteed swift trials and long sentences.

7. A “Woman’s right to reproductive freedom” does NOT mean killing one’s baby. A baby is a person from the time of conception–he is a separate person from his mother.

8. Strengthen Social Security to protect people who have worked, paid their bills,volunteered and been good citizens all of their lives. If a person had over $200,000 annual income, they don’t need to be receiving Social Security at age 65.

9. Support the Police Department, and make sure they have plenty of funding.

10. People in jail give up their voting rights—no exceptions!

This is a BEGINNING….Any other suggestions to the new platform?

With all due respect you must have been listening to a different canidate BHO. I heard “Spread wealth around, bankrupt coal comapanies, socialize medicine, kill the econmy by exploiting enviromentalism etc.” Thats why I didn’t vote for him and like Rush L said, I said, “I hope he fails”.
Not to mention the likes of those he associated himself with!!!

I pray that Republican canidates will emulate
Scott Brown and take 3 simple messages to
the public; National security, Cut taxes,
and Health care.. If this was good enough
for Ronald Reagan it should work for any
conservative candidate..

Rick, have at it, write/talk/blog to your heart’s content. That’s one purpose of this website. And I agree with you – independents are not necessarily ‘moderates’ or in the middle, but they are folks who don’t associate with one of the two major parties. Many are very conservative economically. The GOP doesn’t have to ‘move to the middle’ to get their votes, they need to, in the words of Scott Brown, clearly state their basic convictions to win a majority. He did it. Reagan did it. We can do it. But, will we?
