On the Republicans Obstructing in D.C.

I have in my mind an image that I think depicts the true nature of the Republicans Obstructing the Obama Agenda.

In the Movie Blazing Saddles, the bad guys are coming to Rock Ridge. But the Good Guys need more time. So how do they delay the bad guys?

They put up a Toll Booth in the middle of nowhere. Not just a toll booth and “Exact Change Lane.”

Now why is this funny?

Because everyone knows anyone can just go around the toll booth and get on their way. The toll booth only works because The Bad Guys cooperate. They even send someone back for a bag of dimes.

That’s the image that comes to mind every time the President starts talking about Republicans and Obstruction.

Just got a note from Rep Fred Finn of District 35 he is voting NO on the repeal of I-960. Kathy Haigh is voting yes, so its a wash on for Kitsap County as far as the House is concerned

Apparently Evan Bayh is smelling the same thing that I am from D.C. When I baby’s diapers start to smell, it’s time for a change. When things have been smeling bad in D.C. (and it will get worse) it really is time for a change; and aparently Evan would agree with me.

i recently read the book, ‘A Woman Among Warlords’ by Malalai Joya. (The extraordinary story of an Afghan who dared to raise her voice). It is about the atrocities of the warlords in Afghanistan that she says the US placed in power.

Have you read it? I have supported Bush and his administration but after reading this I don’t know what to believe. I would appreciate your opinion of her book. Thank you.
