SOME MISC WEDNESDAY WORDS

YOUR CENSUS FORMS are coming soon, and I have a suggestion. It  asks a lot of questions which are not the government’s business, particularly on race. So, I recommend following Michelle Malkin’s suggestion that for Question Nine, everybody check the  ‘ Some Other Race’  box  and write in American. It’s time to take a stand. I have heard that millions of people answered this way in 2000, so let’s make it tens of millions in 2010. Spread the word, twitter, facebook, blog, word of mouth, scream it from the mountaintops. We are Americans.

DID YOU HEAR NANCY PELOSI yesterday, in referring to the Obamacare bill, say,  ” But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy.”?   Wow, what can you say…..

FORBES MAGAZINE REPORTS that sales taxes across the country are rising in states and cities. The highest reported is 12% in Arab, Alabama ( this is not a misspelling ), 11.5% in Bellwood, Illinois and 11.125% in Mansfield, Arkansas. We aren’t that far behind…..

A STUDY IN USA TODAY earlier this week examined comparisons between Federal, state and local government pay and private sector pay. This little gem was included in the Federal comparison: ” These salary figures do not include the value of health, pension and other benefits, which averaged $40,785 per Federal employee in 2008 vs. $9,882 per private worker, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis.”.

THREE MEN FROM HAYWARD, CALIFORNIA are scheduled to be arraigned this week on assault and hate crime charges for allegedly shooting a man they thought was gay in the face with a BB gun. Hateful Christians, evil right wingers, they should all be locked up and….wait a minute. The three, Shafiq Hashemi, 21, Sayed Bassam, 21 and Mohammed Habibzada ,24 , were arrested. They confessed according to police, stating they came to San Francisco  to target gay people. Hmmmmmm….

A POLL RELEASED BY THE DEMOCRACY CORPS-THIRD WAY, a James Carville outfit, found some surprising numbers on public opinion about foreign policy and national security. By a 51%-41% margin, Americans think the standing of the US has dropped during the Obama presidency. Those believing the Republicans would do a better job on national security than Democrats: 50%-33%. Republicans also get the nod from the public when it comes to ensuring a strong military by a 58%-27% margin. This from a leftist polling organization. Are the Republicans listening???

ON SUNDAY MORNING, IN NIGERIA, bands of machete-wielding Muslims attacked Christian villages around the city of Jos, killing 500 Christians. This follows attacks in Januarythat left nearly 500 Muslims dead after disputes between the nomadic Muslim tribes and the Christian tribes that are mainly farmers got out of hand.  Nigeria is currently undergoing a power struggle between a Muslim President who is ill and a Christian Vice-President by the name of Goodluck Jonathan.  BTW, check out the movie Tears of the Sun, the Bruce Willis action flick, which deals with the situation in Nigeria.

DID YOU KNOW…

that six of the 10 richest counties in the US are in the DC metro area?

       that 16% ( that’s 1 in 6 ) of Americans 14-49 are infected with genital herpes?

that according to the government bean counters, the CPI for health insurance premiums fell 3.2% in 2009?

that according to the CBO, under the President’s long term budget plans and projections, the share of the debt held by the public grows from $7.5 Trillion

this year to $20.3 Trillion in 2020?

That Congressman Chris Van Hollen, chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, told ABC news that no Democrats would lose their

seats in 2010 because of the  health care debate? I want some of what he is drinking……..

While I agree there is sometimes too much consideration of our ethnic heritage, there are other times when knowing the ratios would be worthwhile.
“We” have to pass a bill so that “you” can know what’s in it? Certainly one of the most moronic comments I’ve ever heard.
Do either Alabama, Arkansas, or Mississippi have an income tax?
Nigeria has a history of conflict between tribal groups. The north is mainly Muslim and the south is mainly Christian. But the tribes have other issues, as well.
    BTW…..
What do you do with a school that improves reading scores by 22% and writing scores by 14% over a two year period? Fire all the teachers?

  2. Scott Newkirk says:

It is my understanding that we are only required to tell how many live in our houses right?
Something in the constitution says that and only required to hold a census every 10 years?

I am wondering if our Democrats are part of the Mob? They are starting to sound like that they are not so concerned with the American people because they know people. Well with a President that is based out of Chicago, I suppose that does not surprise me.

I am starting to get a little concerned that even though this sounds like it is far fetched, can it actually be true? Much of what has already happened has seemed far fetched, now we are standing around with our jaws on the ground thinking, “Did that just happen?”

What I don’t understand is what are these Census forms??

To the best of my knowledge I already filled this thing out, last year in about October. They won’t get any more info out of me, this time.

Just saw Tears of The Sun.. Great movie about a horrible situation. I can only pray for an end to it.

Evidently Obama is extending his ACORN “army” inhto the public schools. Please read and pass on the below link: Training high schoolers to read Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicalism”. Using TAXPAYER MONEY TO DO THIS.

  7. Linda says:

CENSUS FORMS: When you get your 2010 Census Forms there may be personal questions regarding where you were born, the cost of your heating bills, what time you leave for work, etc, etc, AND MAYBE EVEN YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. (A 2009 Community Census Form was 10 pages long).

It is agreed, across the political board, that we, as Americans, will not answer these personal questions because we know that the planned “Cap and Trade” will eventually extend into our personal lives.

There is already a “trial” in CA where the power company can turn down your thermostat automatically. The people who entered into this “trial” did so voluntarily—but the goal is for the government to regulate absolutely EVERYTHING YOU DO that relates to using ENERGY, AND THAT INCLUDES REGULATING HOW MANY MILES YOU CAN DRIVE ON YOUR CAR!

JUST ANSWER HOW MANY ARE IN YOUR HOME, YOUR NAME, AND LEAVE IT AT THAT—CONSTITUTIONALLY, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ANSWER ANY OTHER QUESTIONS.

Thank you so much, Kirby, for helping us to stay informed of what is really going on out there. My husband & I sure miss you on the radio, but are very thankful that you have found another way to get your voice out there!

    God Bless You!

  9. Bill says:

As for the census. Address, Number of people living at the address. Yeah, that’s about it.

NANCY PELOSI: ”But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy.”
One of the cliches I hate most in movies and tv dramas is when one character intones to another, “Trust me.” Why? Have he shown himself trustworthy? That’s what Pelosi is doing: “Trust me.” And my response is “NO WAY!”

  11. Anita Maxwell says:

I received this message and find it totally out of line. Why are our kids being used to lobby bills in Olympia? Using students and students time on our taxpayers money to further a special interest group IS AGAINST THE LAW! And if the group contends they didn’t really use the kids, then they are impersonating all school children. Again, AGAINST THE LAW! I wonder if parents are aware of their children being used as political pawns. I am hoping the Evergreen Freedom Foundation can investigate this. I know they cannot use our taxpayers dollars to copy political propaganda, nor postage or any salary.

    Please keep me informed…Thank you.

    Dear Anita,

Read this message from our kids and then click here to e-mail your legislators on their behalf.

    Dear legislator:

We know times are tough, and you are facing difficult choices. Our moms and dads feel the same way.

But we really need you to stand up for us right now. More than ever, we need you to represent us.

We are asking for these 3 things:

    1) Race to the Top. Make changes that get us ready for federal money – and are good for schools, teachers and kids.

    2) Basic education. Give schools and districts the resources they need to keep the doors open and school buses running.

    3) Early learning. Make it easier for our moms and dads to afford high-quality preschool. (THANK YOU for passing House Bill 2731 and Senate Bill 6759!)

    Thank you,
    Washington’s kids

I just filled out my Census. All I put was the qnty of people in my home & my “Some Other Race” of American. I also printed up a Copy of the CATO Institutes “The Census and the Constitution” post by David Boaz.
If they decide to come door to door they will have to get past my fence, 5 dogs & another important right I have!!
Thanks Kirby & keep up the fight!
