Our constitution originally set up a system with enumerated powers. I remind you, a system unique in the annals of history. Prey tell me how, is our Congress and our President respecting those sacred principals? How are our State representatives defending their positions on this blatant affront to our individual liberties such as the current health care debacle? Questions sadly rarely asked or answered.

I am astonished that in my lifetime I may see our system of government and hallowed institutions such as congress and the executive branch succumb to this sad state of mediocrity. We have what seems to be a cabal of an elitist oligarchy who seems bent on rewriting history, redefining traditional values, and plunging us into a world far different from what future vision our founders foresaw. I will say it. It is un-American in every sense, and the silence of the media to illustrate this is astonishing.

Americans have always have had a sense of fair play. We love to win, yet not at any cost. We love a fight, a hard fight, but a fair fight. When such an important bill such as the health care legislation now pending has to be passed by trickery and parliamentary procedures, questions need to be asked, what is really in play? Is it a real desire to bring down costs in our health care system, or a testament to the existent of the corruption that has permeated the legislative process? Special deals and favors to those who tow the party line, for whatever party in power that might happen to be is repugnant to American sensibilities. Corruption is universal, and should be condemned no matter what your political leanings may be.

What unites us as Americans is commonality, not the touted “diversity” and other meaningless utopian platitudes. Commonality is what makes us who we are, Americans. Our independence, rugged individualism and unique ability to chart our own destiny unrestrained buy political agendas is our true self.

Kirby Our forefathers escaped a European model of elitist privilege to allow ordinary individuals to excel. Why so many citizens now choose to embrace any federal government solution to solve their personal problems is a complete lack of understanding to the basic principles to our Republic’s founding principles. Our basic system of encouraging individuals to succeed is what has gained us such unquestionable prominence as surly the greatest county in the history of mankind.

Our unique position is in jeopardy because of the reckless spending adopted by congress that has become obvious even the most nimble of mind. It continues unabated and now jeopardizes our Republic. Yet this unabated spending is just the product of a deeper problem. That is institutionalized corruption that has so obviously transcended party lines.

If the Democrats who now have the power and the responsibility cannot pass health care legislation in a clear and forthright manor, then they are not representing the interests of the American people. They are blinded by corruption that is all too apparent to the reality of history’s warnings and the American people that see what is so apparent. This depth of arrogance is far beyond any particular bill or party affiliation, and deeply greaves my soul and that of every patriot.

We must reject this corruption and arrogance and ask for the procedural transparency and accountability that we were promised and has yet to be delivered.

Representative Adam Smith (District 9) has a public opinion poll on his site today asking if you support the House of Representatives passing the Senate version of health care. The poll will only allow voting by District 9 residents. Could you help spread the word? Miss you on KVI.

Could there be any truth to this nasty blog? ---

Boycott Israel and boycott life-saving medical advances

Dave Gordon’s article of March 4, 2010 is not absolutely correct with respect to Israel’s rescue mission in Haiti. In an article, “Focus on Israel: Harvesting Haitian Organs” in Baltimore Chronicle of January 26, 2010, Stephen Lendman gives us contrary information.

I forwarded your update to a friend (age 48)and my mom (age 79). They both asked me what IMHO and FWIW mean. Please professionalize and clean up your writing, eliminating the Urban Dictionary shortcuts, that are so popular today. Using that language limits your audience of all ages and also gives too casual of a tone, especially on such important issues. Believe it or not, not everyone texts and tweets and there is no replacement for good writing and grammar.
Just thought you'd want to know, Lisa

My Mother a very quiet individual that has always kept her politics personal e-mail my siblings and I today with a plea that we e-mail our representatives. She lives in Ohio and I was shocked to hear this from her, my Father yes, her not so much. They are both on Medicare so that in itself should tell you how the Americans see this Obamacare. She is fortunate to have Rep Boehner in her district in Ohio. I am still pounding out here.

This is serious. I have one person at work that seems conservative just mention to me that we need a public option because that is one of the biggest reasons why we are in financial trouble. How do I change here opinion?

Kirby; It is my belief and others that Obama does not care a wit about the unemployment in this country. I'm sure you know, he as other liberal/progressive democrats know exactly how to stimulate this economy. Tax cuts work every time they have been tried; and I refuse to believe that these crooks are unaware of how to stimulate this economy. Kirby its about CONTROL and CONTAINMENT. They are not fools or stupid.

Thank you Kirby for the "wealth" of information and the updates. Thank you for your tenacity!!! We appreciate you.

I will NEVER give up the fight to keep our country from the "evil doers"
Only the uninformed or hypnotized would fall for what is going on in Washington/Congress.
